Stefanie is a professional dietitian registered with the American Dietetics Association who specializes in intuitive eating and eating disorders. She graduated McGill University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics.
Stefanie believes in an integrative approach to treating eating disorders and disordered eating. She combines nutrition theory with various therapeutic modalities to treat all facets of the eating disorder. In her work, she incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) in addition to techniques such as mindfulness and body image. Stefanie’s exploration and work with her clients allows them to change their eating behaviors to align with their values.
Stefanie has experience working with teens and adults suffering from various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. She is trained in Family Based Treatment, which allows her to assist parents in guiding their children through recovery and healing from their eating disorder. She’s also trained in conducting food exposures for those with intense food aversions or Avoidance and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
Throughout her career, Stefanie has worked with teens, athletes and men and women diagnosed with eating disorders. She is well versed in working with chronic disease and digestive disorders alongside other goals and problematics. In her practice, Stefanie applies the principles of intuitive eating, mindfulness and Health at Every Size (HAES) to her nutritional recommendations, all while being compassionate and supportive. Her goal is to collaborate with her clients to help them develop a healthy relationship with food and their bodies.
Stefanie offers consultations virtually and provides superbills for insurance reimbursement.
